Marty

About Marty

Marty, a 2-year-old Shepherd rescued from the shelter, exudes a remarkably gentle heart. Initially shy, this pup warms up to his companions with patience and kindness. Marty enjoys exploring the yard independently and delights in chasing a ball, though the concept of fetching hasn’t quite clicked yet. Instead, he prefers to sit quietly with his ball, occasionally giving it a gentle chew. This affectionate canine clearly yearns to bond, making eye contact and appreciating affection. Once he feels comfortable, Marty’s playful side shines through. On walks, he displays exemplary leash manners, showing little interest in potential distractions like squirrels or birds. Marty accepts treats gently and returns to his kennel with ease. Marty’s sweet nature makes him a truly special companion, patiently awaiting his forever home. However, he is still working on overcoming some barrier reactivity, and would benefit greatly from a patient owner willing to help him feel safe and confident. With the right guidance, this wonderful Shepherd is sure to blossom into the perfect addition to a loving family.
