Thor

Thor is an 11-month-old purebred Australian Shepherd who is quite the goofy, sweet, and lively pup. Unfortunately, he needs to find a new home as a family member has developed an allergy. As a true herding dog, Thor truly thrives when given tasks to occupy his active mind, but can quickly become … bored and destructive if left without proper outlets. His ideal adopter will be an individual well-versed in the Australian Shepherd breed who can provide him with ample space to freely roam and run. While Thor is house and crate trained, he struggles a bit with leash manners, though he is a quick learner, already responding well to basic commands like “sit” and “leave it”. An energetic playmate, Thor loves a good game of fetch or tug-of-war. Having been raised with children since 8 weeks old, he is great with kids, though his large size means he may accidentally knock down smaller children. Thor also does well with other people, though he needs some training to curb his jumping. Known to get along well with other dogs, his temperament around cats is unknown.
